Requirements (may vary by position/office):

  • Current RMA/CMA or LPN (Florida License)

Phlebotomist

Location: Beneva Main Lab (Full-Time); Palmer Ranch (Full-Time) and Float (Part-Time PRN)

Requirements:

  • Phlebotomy experience (at least 1 year of recent experience)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Intercoastal is seeking a full-time Orthopaedic PA for the outpatient and hospital setting. The PA will be responsible for assisting in surgeries, rounding in the hospital and patient care in the Orthopaedic clinic.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Perform comprehensive and problem focused history and physical exams, interpret and correlate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Interpret and correlate subjective and objective data to formulate differential diagnoses and establish a working diagnosis. Formulate a treatment plan for Orthopaedic problems within scope of practice. Implement therapeutic intervention for specific conditions when appropriate. Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the supervising Orthopedic surgeon or other health care professionals.
  • Order, collect, and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures, and studies including but not limited to blood and tissue specimens. Ordering or performing diagnostic studies such as but not limited to EMG, electrocardiogram, compartment pressure measurements, and x-ray examinations including special x-ray examinations CT, MRI, and bone scans etc.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including but not limited to joint and bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures and dislocations, injections of joints, tendons, trigger points and bursa, as well as brace, cast and splint applications.    
  • Order, prescribe, dispense, and administer medication, orthosis, orthotics, braces and other orthopaedic devices as may be allowed by state legislation.
  • Assist in surgery to include but not limited to first assist, deep and superficial tissue closures, application of appliances and any other action delegated by the surgeon. Conduct hospital, rounds, write orders, and take call for the Orthopaedic surgeon. Evaluate and clarify clinical conditions, formulate and implement a treatment or therapeutic plan for hospitalized patients, dictate discharge summaries, histories and physicals
  • Perform procedures such as but not limited to, digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor outpatient surgical procedures such as but not limited to: tendon repair, wound closure, wound management, wound debridement, incision and drainage, needle biopsy, percutaneous pinning of fractures, k-wire removal and hardware removal.
  • Document patient visits appropriately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and/or according to the guidelines established by location in which care is provided.

    • Hospital coverage may include Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Doctor's Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Hospital

      Advanced Care Practitioner

      Intercoastal is seeking a full-time Advanced Care Practitioner for our Endocrinology office.


      Responsibilities may include (but not limited to):

      • Perform comprehensive history and physical exams, interpret and correlate laboratory and other diagnostic procedures. Interpret and correlate subjective and objective data to formulate differential diagnoses and establish working diagnoses. Formulate a treatment plan within the scope of practice. Implement therapeutic interventions when appropriate. Exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral or evaluation by the supervising physician or healthcare professionals.
      • Perform daily follow-up visits as directed by the supervising physician.
      • Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
      • Order or prescribe medications within the scope of practice
      • Document patient visits, orders, interactions within the Electronic Medical Record and/or according to the guidelines established by location in which care is provided.
      • Maintain excellent communication regarding the patients' care and progress with the entire care team, patient and/or the caregiver(s).

       Requirements:

      • Current ARNP or PA FL Licensure
      • Current BLS and ACLS Certification
      • Master's Degree in ARNP or PA from an accredited school
      • Strong Computer Skills
      • Knowledge of HIPAA

      Director of Clinical Services-Ambulatory Surgery Center

      The ASC affiliated with Intercoastal Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Director of Clinical Services. The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for supervising and directing nursing care and all related activities of the ASC according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the facility; responsible for all aspects of regulatory compliance, finance, operations, environmental control, staff personnel, education with staff, and administrative duties.       Responsibilities may include (but not limited to):

      • Supervise and direct nursing staff
      • Manage nursing care given to patients
      • Manage and provide safe working environment for patients and staff
      • Assist providers in operations through provision of adequate, qualified staff
      • Manage and control materials, supplies, and equipment needed for the ASC
      • Provide educational and technical opportunities for all staff
      • Plan, control, direct and coordinate all administrative duties for proper functioning of ASC and staff
      • Coordinate activities of the ASC with contract personnel
      • Participate in Safety, Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Pharmacy, Infection Control, and Utilization Review Committee
      • Assist human resources with interviewing, hiring, termination and disciplining staff

      Requirements:

      • Current FL Registered Nurse License
      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      • Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree
      • Current BLS and ACLS
      • ASC Management experience (preferred at least 3 years)
      • RN Management experience (at least 2 years)
      • Previous budgeting experience
      • Strong knowledge of HIPAA

      Physical Therapist Assistant

      Location: Primarily Lakewood Ranch

      Hours: Per Diem, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

      Responsibilities may include (but not limited to):

      • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
      • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
      • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
      • Contributes to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives
      • Travel between locations when assigned

      Requirements:
