Family Practice physicians have three additional years of specialized training in the fields of medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, surgical diagnosis and minor surgery, gynecology and psychological counseling. Emphasis is placed on preventative medicine and the comprehensive care of each family member. Family practitioners work with specialists to provide on-going care when necessary.

Internal Medicine specialists, also known as internists, are physicians who have three years of specialty training in all aspects of adult medicine, ranging from critical illnesses requiring hospitalization, to more routine medical situations. Internists work with specialists to manage chronic problems such as pulmonary disease, diabetes and other illnesses.

Intercoastal Medical Group is a professional association of more than 60 physicians and 18 specialties serving Sarasota and Manatee counties with six locations. We provide a continuum of care to all of our patients, offering state-of-the-art practices and facilities.
